I suppose the best place to start is in discussing why this blog exists. I am not a fan of blogging for blog's sake - though I do indulge personally in daily "how smart/cool/funny is my kid" entries elsewhere. ELSEWHERE. I promise you will never be subjected to twee stories of my kids here. Though I may have to relate the agony of a 4 year old living in a house with a woman who starts every sentence with "Hey, did you know..."
So why this blog, why now?
I have to admit that
American Inventor started it. I've been engaged in the challenge of inspiring inventive thinking now for a while and when they announced the show in the fall, I was scared and excited. Sort of like being invited to be in a wedding. You know it's not going to end well but you hope you don't regret saying yes.
So I watched in horror as Simon Cowell basically unveiled
this for me to wear. Now I'm into geek chic as much as the next Hello Kitty-loving, PEZ dispenser collecting hipster girl. But seriously. Inventing is
cooler than THAT, kids.
And so an inventive thinking blog was born.
