In 2004, David Fajgenbaum went off to Georgetown University. His mother was dying of cancer and he felt alone and needed support. He didn't find a campus service for this - and knowing that other young people must be experiencing the same tragedy, he started
National Students of AMF Support Network - a service and support organization.
He built this organization in honor of his mother, a loving and inspirational woman who showed her children unconditional love. She worked hard to support David in his freshman year, while she battled brain cancer.
His work has supported thousands of young people through the devastating loss of a parent and is truly an inspiration to young people everywhere to do something to change their world.
