We have our winners of the
BKFK Maryland Challenge & the
BKFK Virginia Challenge! The winners were celebrated yesterday during a special awards ceremony at the Maryland Science Center, Baltimore, MD.

Edward won first place from Maryland. His idea is to
seed clouds with calcium carbonate, which is an acidity reducer used in many industrial plants to reduce carbonic acid emission, to seed clouds potentially containing acid rain.

Elizabeth won first place from Virginia. Her idea ,
the Water Watcher is a device that hooks up to any faucet, and makes a beep every time half a gallon of water has come out so you can try to finish up what you are doing and not waste water.
